Role Details:

We are seeking a QA engineer who will help drive our system's evolution! The role is an integral part of the central Video Streaming & Operations team that will work with video tech engineers to build and release products for various platforms like Desktop, OTT, Mobile. The candidate will be responsible for doing end to end QA testing on several products and will also be monitoring and supporting our video systems.

Your Day-to-Day:

Work with video engineers to QA our video products prior to release.

Report bugs and errors to development teams

Create artifacts to document testing phases and defects

Help troubleshoot issues after product releases

Help improve our software testing methodologies by adopting new tools and best practices

Monitor and support our video systems and field questions from publishers around video encoding.

Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have:
• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Experienced with Linux systems
• 3+ years experience of software testing methodologies, tools and processes
• Should be able to write scripts in BASH or PHP or Python
• Experience working in an AGILE/SCRUM development process
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple teams

Nice to have:
• Experienced with video encoding systems
• Experience with cross-browser testing tools such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, EndTest, etc.
• Good understanding of server and cloud computing technologies from providers such as AWS, GCP
