Overview and Summary:

Paramount Tech is hiring a seasoned professional that will provide advanced expertise for planning, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the Paramount network infrastructure in a global enterprise environment. The candidate will provide domain expertise on backbone network technology, as well as project management, operation, expansion, and maintenance of all equipment within the Paramount global network infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:
• Provides subject leadership for the design, engineering, implementation, and management of enterprise networking solutions with high reliability and availability
• Introduces new networking technologies or improves existing technologies to transform existing capabilities and services
• Provides networking domain expertise to other teams as needed
• May lead small teams of technical contributors, providing direction, mentorship and coaching for the resolution of complex problems or advancement of technical initiatives
• Builds and maintains technical documents and plans for solutions and standard operating procedures such that services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner
• Supports and provides leadership for the support of the Paramount global Network, IP and related security services issues in and out of hours, resolves complex system and network issues and outages
• Provides knowledge transfer to Level 2 Network Engineers on new implementations
• Customer concern point person for the Paramount network engineering team
• Works closely with Voice, Video Conferencing and Wireless Services team to ensure accurate integration with networking infrastructure
• Acts as technical project coordinator by preparing project plans, interacting with other groups, and guiding IT resources as required
• Watches industry trends and developments, both direct or through a third party, to ensure the company is aware and educated on new technologies
• Participate actively in engineering and architecture solution peer reviews and solution design sessions
• Develops action plans for the improvement and development of networking infrastructure to meet the business goals of the company as a member of Infrastructure leadership
• Vendor and 3rd Party support and critical issues
• Works independently and exercises reasonable judgment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments
• Interacts closely with management across all departments

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a large corporate IP network communications environment; CCNP or equivalent experience
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work closely with customers, peers, and management

Additional Qualifications:
• CCIE Routing and Switching preferred
• Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, IOS, NXOS, Load balancers, WAN accelerators, Content filters
• Knowledge of IP security implementation, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering
• Knowledge of Dark Fiber and CWDM/DWDM
• Knowledge of MPLS, BGP & Internet Exchange Peering
• Knowledge of QoS
• Knowledge of Multicast
• Knowledge and experience in provisioning, management, and maintenance of structured cabling systems
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IGMP, Private MPLS-VPN, and IPSEC
• Experience in deploying SNMP based monitoring solutions
• Experience in medium/large corporate network rollout and support
• Experience in large scale enterprise project management
• Experience in media/entertainment/broadcast/hosting/ISP environment
• Cisco switches (Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, Cat3K, Cat4K, Cat6K, Cat9K)
• Cisco routers (ISR and ASR family of routers)
• Cisco ASA firewalls
• Cisco Firepower firewalls – 2K, 4K, 9K models
• Load balancers (Citrix Netscalers), WAN accelerators (Riverbed)
• Knowledge of IP security implementations, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering
• Operates as a teammate
• Superb communication skills (verbal & written)
• Very good analytical skills and issue prioritization
• Good time management with an ability to work on several projects and tasks concurrently
• Setting own agendas and effectively prioritizing work
• Strong enthusiasm for technology
