Job Description
Purpose of the role:

Working alongside the Channel 5 Programme Planning team, Ratings, Media Planning, Broadcast Operations, Continuity and Compliance teams, the Junior Scheduler is responsible for building and executing accurate schedules for transmission.

Key accountabilities
• Carry out daily checklist to prepare accurate schedules for sending to playout providers.
• Process spot files from Sales and send complete schedules to playout providers.
• Input continuity items and information to set deadlines and liaise with continuity producers to ensure all scripting information is accurate and up to date.
• Work with the sponsorship team to update rotations, and accurately process and schedule credits.
• To view and log programmes, considering transitions, commercial compliance and editorial judgements for all the linear and VOD channels.
• Work with neighbouring departments to ensure weekly and daily deadlines are met.
• To provide cover for other department members in their absence in some areas.
• Assist Broadcast Operations with the quality checking of programmes when required.

Experience & knowledge:

Skills
• Experience within the broadcasting industry desirable.
• Some knowledge/experience of Whats'On or other scheduling systems preferred.
• Good PC skills including Microsoft packages.
