Interim Vice President, Editorial, Creative & Strategy (Freelance)
OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This interim VPs primary function is to lead teams to develop concepts and innovative creative executions for Paramount Global creative projects, which encompass integrated solutions across digital, video, print and merchandise for trade, consumer and internal communications.
- Extremely strong writer who understands and can oversee and execute on editorial tone, branding, strategy and marketing plans.
- Work across media to develop integrated campaigns and ensure that design, editorial and strategy are aligned to meet client goals. Develop concepts based on client goals and execute them across multiple touchpoints.
- Manage Editorial/Strategy staff and freelancers. Inspire and encourage innovative thought.
- In partnership with VPs of Design and Video, lead and direct Design, Production and Editorial teams on projects, and give them clear and strong direction.
- Conceive, develop and write across all media, including branding, print, video, digital, experiential and merchandise.
- Ensure all phases of concepting, writing and production meet quality standards.

Develop strategies, creative directs, brainstorms and write for a multitude of subject areas, which include:
- Branding and Identity
- 360 Campaigns, Creative Solutions across Media (Digital, Video, Print, Radio, Merchandise and more)
- Full-Scale Scripted Productions
- Live Events, Speech-writing, Joke-writing, Presentations and Strategic Documents
- Event and Trade materials
- Naming and Tagline development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15 years' of experience as a seasoned creative director, in-house, at an agency or a creative studio with a body of work across print, digital and video, with some experience leading a team/supervising others.
- Bachelor's degree.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- English or Journalism majors preferred; Master's degree in English or Writing a plus.
- Able to develop the creative strategy, craft the vision, direct multidisciplinary teams to build solutions and write in a multitude of voices across all mediums.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent presentation and pitch skills.
- A reliable, self-starter with strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, lead projects and meet deadlines.
- An experienced, strong editor who can establish or craft a voice, as well as proof and edit writers' work.

This is a 5-month, temporary role. The team is on a hybrid schedule working Tuesdays & Wednesdays in office.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $203500.0 - 228500.0. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
