WHAT IS THE ROLE

This position is responsible for helping support management (located in Los Angeles, New York & Amsterdam) with third party participation reporting for US and international acquisitions of acquired film exploitation rights and for Legacy Viacom properties. In this capacity, this candidate will help maintain accurate and timely contractual reporting to third parties and initiate and help implement process improvements where possible.
• Help support management with third party reporting and statement preparation as well as other duties relating to contract accounting for worldwide local acquisitions and Viacom properties.
• Prepare and or review (as needed) financial statements in adherence to their respective contractual agreements including the processing and routing of ''pass through'' Viacom statements as needed.
• Monitor the frequency and due dates of participation statements in order to ensure timeliness.
• Research and locate various financial data to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze the propriety and reasonableness of financial activity and investigate any unusual activity.
• Coordinate with other team members who may be in other time zones.
• Support with all tasks required to ensure third parties will be paid on time, including preparing and submitting vendor set up requests, reviewing invoices and monitoring payment status.
• Review notes from manager to ensure contractual compliance and resolve problems, if any
• Help maintain accurate records to ensure adequate reviews and audit trails.
• Perform various other projects such as research, special reports, statistical analysis, as well as other day-to-day activities.

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED
• Timely and accurate handling of the above mentioned tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Finance or Accounting experience required (1-2 years).
• Ability to read and understand financial provisions of agreements.

• Strong analytical and time-management skills.
• Strong ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization (e.g., participants and their representatives, as well as various management levels).

Management competencies
• Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with team members.

Technical competencies
• SAP.
• Experience with Media Maestro or similar systems is welcomed.
• Ability to work with other accounting / reporting / database systems.
• Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written English communications skills.
• Functional Multilingual conversational skills welcomed.
