We are currently looking for a Director, State & Local Government Relations!
Overview and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP and SVP, State & Local Government Relations, the Director will support all activities of the State & Local Government Relations team. They will take the lead on various activities and assist members of the team on others, depending on the candidate's experience. They will also be responsible for a number of operational functions. The position is located in Hollywood, CA.

The team covers a wide range of issues across the US As major projects or issues arise in one area of its work others naturally receive less attention as a result. The Director position will allow the team to deliver broader and deeper support across the US and better advance the company's business objectives and operations!
• Monitor key legislation that impacts the Paramount Global businesses of broadcast, TV stations, cable, film, and streaming.
• Track physical production by all production divisions (titles, filming location, local spend and jobs created)
• Point of first contact for physical productions' time-sensitive needs, as needed (VISAs/passports for talent, permitting issues, tax credit processing, liaise with local agencies, etc)
• Track company's diversity initiatives, ERG programs, smoking in movies, and similar issues of concern
• Assist in coordinating and implementing Community Day projects and screenings
• Assist in coordinating and implementing other giving back initiatives throughout the year with state and local officials
• Manage State & Local team's CSR budget
• Manage VIP tours, events
• Oversee Coordinator's tracking and reporting of political contributions
• Lead all aspects of logging of all meals/gifts to government officials
• Coordinate preparation of presentation decks and related materials for use with senior management and other divisions
• Monitor COVID-related regulations, data and trends; prepare regular COVID reporting as needed to other divisions. Coordinate with industry partners
• Must be able to attend in-person meetings and events
• Travel within the US as needed
• Work in office 2-3 days/week, or as determined by Paramount Global senior management

Basic Qualifications:
• At least 5+ years of experience in government agency, corporation or trade association
• Bachelor's degree
• Preferred the candidate has experience in broadcast, movie, cable or streaming industry, but not required
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to partner with internal and external contacts and build positive relationships
• Strong team work ethic, comfortable working in a collaborative environment with other Paramount Global divisions
• Excellent analytical skills
• Detail oriented, excellent organization skills and be able to manage multiple simultaneous assignments with timely deadlines
• Must attend in-person meetings and events
• Travel within the US, as needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.
