Activation is a group dedicated to campaign development and execution across Paramount's Ad Solutions. We partner with the Pitch and Creative teams to develop integrated marketing solutions that drive upfront and scatter budgets. Then, lead the activation of partner programs across all Paramount screens and networks (except BET), in collaboration with channel constituents. In addition, we manage all campaign work regarding Upfront Advertisers with sold marketing and an identified property, from pitch through activation. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including clients, media agencies, Ad Solutions, creative, production, social media, editorial, legal, and external vendors. You will work with Ad Solutions Account Executives to identify areas of opportunity and troubleshoot approaches to reach company and client goals. In addition, directors are the point people for all aspects of ideation, creation, and fulfillment of marketing programs. You are responsible for supervising specific activation processes, such as vetting ideas with key collaborator departments, securing partner materials/assets, and guiding the production of custom content across all platforms.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinate team workload to ensure all projects are on track and issues are advanced as needed
• Coach and mentor music team, and map their development
• Serve as client contact and lead activation point on more complex marketing programs (i.e. in-show integrations with executives/talent, cross-product or cross-net creative, tentpole activations, etc.) ensuring the best creative practices are adhered to and celebrated
• Proactively work with internal teams to develop new revenue-generating opportunities and sponsorship packages connected to our IP/talent/brand.
• Build and leverage relationships across the channel(s) to better serve our business and help address challenges as they arise.
• Apply critical thinking to identify areas of opportunity for the team and business.
• Support Vice President and mentor junior team.
Basic Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree
• 8+ years experience working in consulting, strategy, or advertising, and a familiarity with Integrated marketing and Ad Sales.
Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to shepherd projects from start to finish
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment; flexible and adaptable to change
• Experience supporting cross-disciplinary working teams
• Experience preparing creative/strategic briefs and project assignments and managing timelines, etc.
• Strong knowledge of the value of brands in the marketplace and how to manage their needs as clients.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-development and leadership skills.
• Being able to manage team, both up and down.
• Excellent understanding of and passion for platform-specific content creation
• Drive to look for opportunities to bring first-to-market or phenomenal conceptual programs to client roster
