Overview & Responsibilities:
Data plays a central role at ViacomCBS Streaming and as part of the Data & Insights Group (DIG), our Business Intelligence team serves as data explorers and data storytellers for Paramount+. Our analyses, insights and recommendations to leaders and stakeholder groups throughout the company power the day-to-day decisions that help us grow and move the streaming service forward. This position is anchored around understanding, modeling, and predicting subscribers' ''lifecycle dynamics'' that affect lifetime value (e.g., trial conversion, streaming behaviors, and churn). In addition, the position will inform the Product Team, responsible for current and future product features, through A|B testing and analyses that focus on quality of experience, monetization, and overall subscriber health.
Responsibilities:
• Provide vision and ideation around subscriber lifecycle analysis. Kindle an inclusive, data-curious, innovative analysis and experimentation-based , ''fun'' environment
• Assess, manage and mentor a Business Intelligence team of Directors, Managers and Analysts to perform at a high level
• Correlate streaming behaviors (i.e. consumption) to lifecycle dynamics like churn to understand how certain behaviors affect subscribers' tenure in the service
• Spotlight ''viewership journeys'' and what product pages/ features yield desired QoE KPIs
• Manage experimentation framework and collaborate closely with product and marketing teams across the business unit to design, implement and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests
• Continue to advance Paramount+ Subscription analytics continuum of data models such as trialist propensity-to-convert and subscriber at-risk of churn models
• Partner with the Product team on a quant sandbox, consisting of QoS and QoE KPIs and OKRs to understand the performance of existing product features and inform the roadmap of future product enhancements
• Ideate, design and build a new trial conversion prediction model to understand (and mitigate) high-risk trialist behaviors
• Develop automated forecasting models in partnership with finance, marketing and strategy teams
• Leverage the results of Product Research Team-fielded usability studies to add depth and explain the ''why'' behind the business intelligence quantitative analyses around how subscribers use our service and our app
Required Qualifications:
• STEM undergraduate degree
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
• Proven experience and acumen in implementing a vision and managing a team
• A track record of managerial expertise in growing & developing high-functioning teams
• Subscription VOD service or streaming video experience
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis
Additional Qualifications:
• STEM graduate degree or PhD
• Strong statistical, data science and modeling skills/ experience
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, R) for data analysis, modeling and machine learning
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with senior executives and external partners
• Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage complex projects across diverse groups or organizations
• Comfort managing multiple projects at once in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
