Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Supervisor Accounting for our Paramount Pictures office in Amsterdam:
Summary of the position
The Supervisor Accounting is responsible for various accounting and reporting processes in support of Paramount's international businesses. Will be responsible for the daily management and administration of the International territories Accounting processes, including reconciliation of GL accounts, daily posting of entries in SAP, clearing Cash accounts, reviewing account reconciliations, worldwide Lease accounting, processing Fixed Asset activities, budgeting for FA cash expenditures, reviewing/clearing intercompany accounts, checking the monthly Exchange and Reval accounts on extra-ordinary movements, overseeing month end closing activities.
The Supervisor Accounting is also responsible for assisting employees with process issues and questions, resolving system issues when they arise, assisting with audits, and coordinating with the Global Process Owner on various Global process issues, policies, and future system implementations.

Responsibilities
• Performs analysis and review documentation that support journal entries, including but not limited to:
o Ad hoc hedge and derivative accounting journal entry
o Prepayments, accruals, payroll, taxes
o Fixed Asset activity
o Lease accounting
o Annual pension accounting journal entry
o Monthly or daily journal entries for:
- Bank activity
- Eliminations
- Franchise fee/IC royalty
• Conduct reconciliations/analysis for fixed asset inventory, roll forwards
• Meets corporate deadlines as relevant
• Active participation in posting statutory journals and provide reconciliations for the audit
• Coordinating monthly closing processes and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Control intercompany accounts, check Exchange and Revaluation accounts on extra-ordinary movements
• Maintain Accounting policies and procedures Liaise with the EBSC Executive Finance Director on all aspects of the global accounting processes, account reconciliation and daily issues as they arise
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Reporting and analysis focused on:
- Intercompany supplemental schedule
- Fixed Assets
- Lease accounting
- Statistic Reports to Tax Authorities
- Cash
- Royalties
- Payroll
• Daily supervision and guidance of the GL accounting team
• Special projects as called upon by management
Competencies/Experiences/Skills requirements
Key competencies/experience:
CPA or Chartered Accountant designation
Minimum of 5 years work experience providing accounting support to a global organization
Knowledge of financial analysis, US GAAP, IFRS
Technical competencies/experience:
• Proficiency with SAP Financials and Microsoft Excel advanced.
• Proficiency in Lease accounting, including an understanding of the various elements of actuarial assumptions and their impact.
• Proficiency in intra- and inter-company accounting for a global organization, including licensing arrangements, service agreements, loans and other arrangements, and related elimination principles
• Proficiency in Fixed Asset accounting and Budget preparation
• Understanding of appropriate reconciliation processes, and required supporting documentation (3rd party documentation, internal vs external system documentation, etc.)
• Experience in analysis and reporting of various financial statement disclosures
• Overall proficiency in accounting principles and practices under US GAAP and IFRS

Screening
