Technical Product Manager, CMS (Remote)

Role Details:

As a member of the Paramount+ Content Systems Product team, you'll own the tools and systems that power our streaming experiences. You'll play an instrumental role in ensuring that Paramount+ can be operated efficiently as we grow with millions of new subscribers in numerous countries around the world.

This is a brand-new team that is rapidly growing and is passionate about solving problems and improving workflows and tools for the people we work with every day. This role is committed to delivering on and contributing to the vision and strategy for our content management system (CMS). From feature inception through launch, this person will deliver CMS functionalities that align with the objectives of the business for all the platforms that rely on it (Web, Apps, OTT). You'll be on the forefront of our product development process defining brand new experiences for our millions of users while also iteratively improving on our existing offering in partnership with our content management, machine learning, product, and engineering teams. Responsibilities Include
• Run Scrum team activities (grooming, planning, standups, story writing, and prioritization)
• Clearly define feature requirements and business logic for the Scrum team, engineering and content management partners
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, designers, and other partners to implement and lead product releases; direct QA efforts; and to grow ongoing third party relationships
• Align various stakeholders (product, operations, engineering, etc.) on delivery scope in preparation for launch
• Handle cross-functional relationships as well as prioritization and trade-offs between user experience, cost, and timeline
• Support strategic discussions on the future direction of the product and user experience
• Maintain a roadmap and regularly review with stakeholders and partners
• Operate both independently and as part of a broader team; balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a goal-oriented environment
• Set KPI-driven priorities for the scrum team and work to achieve the desired outcome
• Work to meet agreed upon time frames / target dates with the scrum team and PMO partners
• Develop trust across teams and establish relationships to ensure collaboration across groups; facilitate execution within a complex organizational environment
• Build a positive relationship with Engineering; work together to determine solutions and ensure that the development team has all the information they need to successfully implement initiatives
• Additional other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualities / Experience We're Seeking
• 3+ years of experience in product management and directly leading a scrum team, preferably in the area of back end applications that power websites and apps
• Motivated and meticulous; Energized by big challenges
• Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate well with teams and stakeholders of all levels
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions about technology decisions and strategy as it relates to a product or feature
• Passionate about user experience and building backend systems that improve our applications
• Ability to drive alignment across multiple cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, engineers) to ship new products and features
• Eager to learn how our internal customers and cross-functional teams use the CMS
• Comfortable analyzing information and addressing stakeholders
• Able to form valuable relationships with people across functional groups in order to facilitate effective product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function efficiently and provide delivery when faced with frequently changing and sometimes ambiguous goals.

Bonus Points:
• Experience managing internal tools at a large media company
• Experience handling video/content distribution
• Experience in content operations
• Familiarity with APIs, web services and data modeling
• Familiarity with software like Jira, Sketch, Figma or other tools
• Experience working with video streaming technologies
