The team at Paramount+ values software which exemplifies simplicity of design, maintainability, and foundational robustness. You will join the Platform Services Team which develops and maintains a set of systems which power Paramount+ streaming services.

Role Details:

We are seeking a high-impact Solutions Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will become an authority on multiple backend systems, identify areas of improvement and design/develop POCs. The candidate will be able to collaborate with multiple engineering teams and management spanning multiple and communicate architectural design proposals clearly. In this role you will be responsible for crafting high-level architectural specifications, write technical documentation and design solutions for systems integration and compatibility issues. The Solutions Architect will perform research on potential project feasibility to management, serve as the top-level technical authority across multiple systems and specialist on complex technical and business requirements. You will become an authority on multiple complex systems and services and optimize the integrations between them. We need our Solutions Architect to be a Subject Matter Expert on multiple Paramount+ backend systems.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Build technical documentation for existing systems.
• Finding weaknesses in application code, backend APIs, existing integrations and offering proposals to strengthen them!
• Guiding the introduction of new technologies to support and evolve Paramount+!
• Develop POC Applications for proposals
• Contribute to the Application Architecture and Application feature roadmaps
• Craft appropriate solutions unaided or take the lead when collaborating

Key Projects:
• Writing technical documentation for P+ Backend Systems that power P+, P+ Intl and CBS.com
• Analyze existing systems that power P+, P+ Intl and CBS and optimize them for performance and scalability
• Design new solutions that solve business critical problems

Basic Qualifications:
• BS Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical degree, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of Solutions Architect experience
• 4+ years of leading a software engineering team
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience

Additional Qualifications:
• Proven technical acumen and experience across related technologies (Java, Spring, MySQL)
• Proven success designing complex, mission critical systems
• Experience designing Web Services
• Experience with Cloud Computing (GCP, AWS, etc)
• Knowledge of JSON, MRSS, XML, and REST
• Experience with Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Solr and Test Driven Development
• Experience with Git and GitHub

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 150,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
