Job Description
The team for Paramount+ is responsible for servicing Paramount's premium online content around the world. We're home to exclusive shows (Tulsa King, 1923, all the Star Treks, The Good Fight) and movies (Top Gun: Maverick) while helping millions of viewers consume and enjoy content across all of Paramount's global brands (such as Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Smithsonian, MTV, BET, etc).

Role Details:

We are looking for dependable and proactive engineering managers with many years of proven leadership skills. Engineering managers will lead multiple projects, build and coordinate diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines, formulate and implement strategies, and cooperate with other managers.

To be successful as an engineering manager, you should have exceptional foresight, excellent communication skills, working knowledge of different engineering subject areas, and the skills for managing risk. Ideally, candidates will have both good supervisory skills and technical understanding, and an appreciation for the complex and fast-paced nature of the industry.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organizations goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams!
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching!
• Help ensure teams are on track with target deliveries, identify and communicate any risks.
• Help the team to adhere to long-term vision and roadmap within, and larger prioritized goals of the organization.
• Help ensure team quality engineering standards are kept throughout the team

Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years serving as a team lead of engineers.
• 5+ years of Object Oriented programming experience(Java preferred), Linux environment.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring/Spring Boot

Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of engineers.
• Ability to prioritize projects and delegate tasks appropriately.
• MS degree in Computer Science or similar subject area
• Understanding of billing platforms (ITunes, Google Play, Stripe, Recurly, Roku, etc.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $150,000.00 - 180,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
