Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Product Designer who's excited to design an extraordinary streaming experience for Paramount+. At our Burbank design studio, Product Designers design across over 20 different supported experiences, from connected TVs, to mobile apps to web. This position is open to remote.

You are curious, thoughtful, biased towards action and deeply focused on the outcomes of your work. You know that phenomenal design starts with recognizing the problem. You are a designer whose work displays both pixel-level attention to detail and an acute understanding of broader usability paradigms. Someone who is able to transform complex concepts into simple, approachable experiences that are visually balanced, across any device. A phenomenal teammate that lives and breathes the interactive space.
• Build pixel-precise designs for web, mobile/tablet and TV, that are on-brand and are crafted based on product requirements and partner input / feedback
• Stay on top of the latest software trends and patterns, engage in market research and bring insights to power strategic conversations
• Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem spaces like discovery and engagement
• Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our systems and interactions

Basic Qualifications
• 3-5 years of hands on product design experience
• Design for web, iOS and Android (phone and tablet). Phenomenal to have TVUI experience.
• Portfolio that demonstrates practice of UX principles paired with a modern visual design sensibility.
• Ability to rapidly ideate and complete multiple concepts and craft high-fidelity prototypes to power user research, concept review and implementation details
• Experience partnering with other designers, product and engineering organizations to deliver innovative design across the entire product lifecycle. Have been through multiple launches.

Additional Qualifications
• Experience designing for video and video playback.
• Experience with animation principles like keyframes, velocity, easing, etc.
• Be proactive, adaptive, flexible and responsive to variable timelines and requirements.
• Exercise both critical thinking and systems thinking from project inception to execution.
• Establish and maintain alignment with product, engineering and QA partners.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $86,000.00 - 102,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
