Overview:

The CBS Media Ventures (CMV) group at Paramount builds digital / video focused desktop, mobile, and app experiences, leading digital and social for first-run television syndication brands, including Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, Dabl, The Doctors, and The Drew Barrymore Show.

The CMV Digital team is seeking an Affiliate Partnerships Manager to work across its portfolio of brands and support the growing e-commerce business. The Affiliate Partnerships Manager will work closely with our Director of Commerce to create an e-commerce strategy by managing, optimizing, and reporting on affiliate and partner relations aimed at growing revenue. You will oversee partner communications, offers, and new channel testing, with a primary focus on growth!

Responsibilities:
• Track performance of commerce content and partnerships; share feedback with editorial teams
• Have a deep understanding of our existing commerce partnerships, tools, and offerings; communicate these to potential partners and internal stakeholders
• Grow existing partnerships and recruit new ones to secure exclusive offers and negotiate competitive commission rates
• Lead technical aspects of linking, tracking and record-keeping of affiliate relationships
• Onboard editorial team members to partner dashboards and affiliate link generation
• Collaborate with editors to create quality commerce-led content across our brands, using data and metrics to inform content ideation and creation including SEO, competitor analysis, marketplace knowledge, and tent pole consumer events
• Research & recommend new affiliate partnerships, preparing strategic and revenue generating opportunities throughout the editorial calendar
• Secure and implement branded content opportunities in which dedicated partner stories are negotiated for flat fees
• Assist with updating search-driven articles, ensuring the content ranks for SEO and is optimized to generate affiliate revenue
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including audience, editorial, product, legal, and more to develop new projects and vet partner opportunities

Basic Qualification:
• 3+ years managing affiliate partnerships and implementing affiliate content strategies
• Proficiency with major affiliate networks, including Impact Radius, Amazon Associates, Skimlinks, Narrativ, Commission Junction, ShareASale, and Rakuten
• Experience handling affiliate relationships or e-commerce/editorial executions
• Highly analytical with a data driven approach
• Comfortable negotiating commission rates and establishing relationships with retailers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• General knowledge of digital publishing standard methodologies, SEO and what drives both content and affiliate performance
• Metrics-driven with strong attention to detail and time management skills
• High degree of personal initiative and curiosity
• Strong editorial skills are a plus - firm grasp of spelling, grammar and AP Style punctuation rules
• Ability to think creatively and approach opportunities outside of the box

Additional Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in business / economics, marketing, media, or related fields
• Experience in publishing, or commerce/e-commerce
• Experience with SEO tools, SQL, Tableau, Big Query databases, Omniture, or Google Analytics
• Interest in SEO, affiliate partnerships, and / or marketing programs
• Project management experience
• Have built revenue models or done vlookup and deduping for work
