Overview & Responsibilities
The Paid Social Media Manager will develop and execute paid social and search advertising campaigns on key digital platforms for all marketing priorities across the MTV Entertainment Group (MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, VH1, TV Land, CMT, Smithsonian Channel, Pop TV, and Logo). The candidate must. have hands-on experience with social media marketing and media buying. S/he should be comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and possess excellent communication, organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
• Manager paid media campaigns on self-service digital advertising platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and more
• Produce and present paid media strategy recommendations, including budget, flighting, platforms, placements, etc. to drive tune-in, fan growth / engagement, product sales and additional MTVE and ViacomCBS priorities
• Build, traffic, monitor and optimize media campaigns across multiple social networks and ad buying platforms
• Create and share campaign wrap up reports, internal process documents, launch decks and other presentations as needed
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies & vendors to execute media buys
• Oversee and coach 1+ direct reports
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or advertising
• 3-4 years of experience planning and executing paid marketing campaigns
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in key social media buying platforms including but not limited to Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, and/or Google Ads (YouTube & Search)
Additional Qualifications
• Background in Entertainment, Film & Television, Sports and/or Music industry preferred
• Experience with SEM, email marketing and/or programmatic media a plus
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage and analyze data
• Strong presentation skills and profiency in Powerpoint and Google Docs
• Comfortable juggling several projects with ease and performing under pressure
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and efficient time-management skills
• Great sense of humor with a love of pop culture!
