Overview & Responsibilities

We are the Marketing Analytics and Data Integration (MADI) team, part of the Paramount+ Streaming Data & Insights Group (DIG) Business Intelligence team. DIG is a key connector among the Paramount Streaming verticals. The group consists of subject matter experts that prototype, build, and scale data infrastructure and products; assess, aggregate, and analyze data; and shape qualitative and quantitative-based narratives and insights, providing stakeholders with decision support, performance clarity and business-driving recommendations. The MADI team provides actionable, data-driven solutions to solve marketing challenges. We work closely with Media Strategy and Media Activation teams to drive Paramount+ growth.

Responsibilities

We are committed to developing first in class stable, dynamic, and comprehensive data that provides insights and actionable solutions. The Business Intelligence Manager will play an integral role leading the creation of data products that support and enhance our data stack and improve internal team processes. This includes improving the accuracy and simplification of the data through data warehouse optimization and dataset taxonomy, creating dashboards, and identifying growth opportunities and gaps in the current data stack.

Additionally, the Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for leading predictive analytics projects that are critical to ensure the success of key Paramount priorities. This includes working with our data science team to develop statistical tools that predict campaign performance from early data reads, help build audience segmentation for testing and optimization, and designing and executing test experiments.

In this role, you'll interface with teams cross functionally, primarily engineering and other business stakeholders, and will facilitate a high level communication. The role will be managing projects from end to end and will interact with marketing delivery and performance data including, but not limited to marketing platforms (Facebook, Google Marketing Platform), Adobe tools (Omniture, Audience Manager), mobile measurement partner (Kochava), purchase/subscription data.
• Manage and lead projects to improve the accuracy and simplification of the data through data warehouse optimization and dataset taxonomy improvement
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve internal processes and support the data stack
• Create dashboards to visualize data and inform decision-making
• Work with cross-functional teams, particularly data science, engineering and business stakeholders, to gather data and insights needed for predictive analytics projects
• Work with data science teams to build audience segmentation for testing and optimization
• Work closely with data science in designing test experiments and own the execution to validate hypotheses and inform decision-making
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics
• Participate in regular meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to discuss progress and address any issues or concerns.

Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS - and 7+ Years Experience in Business Intelligence Analytics and data management, Predictive Analytics, Entertainment, Media
• Mastery in SQL with a thorough understanding of joining disparate datasets, optimizing query for efficiency, implementing ETL processes to clean and standardize datasets and understanding the data at various hierarchies
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
• Strong background in mathematics and statistics
• Have a strong vision and ability to understand client's needs and requirements and to generate that into actionable activities
• Strong project coordination and management skills, has experience delivering projects successfully, aligning the vision of data products between various stakeholders and engineering. Ensure project status are on pace for delivery and removal of blockers that surface
• Strong business acumen with experience fostering strong relationships with cross functional teams including but not limited to marketing, engineering, creative, and various levels of management. Ability to communicate clearly through various levels of employees and able to simply complex concepts
• Strong intuition on identifying dependencies and gaps, and strong vision on optimal solutions to guide direction of data strategy
• Have a strong vision and ability of translating and transforming raw data into readable tables for data visualization and ad hoc reporting
• Team player - and mentor to team members

Additional Qualifications
• Strong solutions-oriented and critical thinking mindset
• Deep interest in technical aspects of data automation and integration using Google Cloud Services
• Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery)
• Experience using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 165,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
