Is this the role for you?
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Accounting Specialist to support Paramount's international businesses. In this role, you'll be responsible for a range of accounting and reporting matters, with a primary focus on account reconciliation. You will ensure timely and accurate reporting in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What will you be doing?
• Perform daily accounting activities and ensure accuracy across financial records.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for areas including:
• Intangible amortization.
• Fixed assets.
• Accruals.
• Open items clearing.
• Interest income and expense.
• Non-title allocations.
• Prepaid amortization.
• Employee benefits, payroll and pension accounting.
• Inter/intra-company and FX clearing.
• Financial lease accounting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for designated entities.
• Complete reconciliations using the reconciliation tool for:
• Balance sheet accounts.
• Intercompany confirmations.
• Payroll and fixed assets.
• Conduct P&L analysis and reporting (title and non-title based).
• Support preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit processes.
• Produce statistical and ad hoc reports for various territories.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–5 years of experience supporting accounting functions in a global organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in SAP Financials and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
• Experience with intercompany accounting, payroll, employee benefits, interest income/expense recognition.
• Strong reconciliation capabilities and understanding of audit standards and documentation requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and self-motivated approach to improvement initiatives.
• Experience working under fast paced environments.
• Confirmed ability to conduct detailed research and deliver results-driven recommendations.
