OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a DevOps Engineer at our organization, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure to support our Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Products teams. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting data science teams to execute CPU and memory-intensive model pipelines on our chosen platforms, and aiding the Data Engineering team by maintaining our pipeline orchestration systems. You will also work closely with the Data Products team to ensure a seamless web application deployment process. Provide operational support to the Data Engineering and Data Science teams, ensuring a smooth workflow in running model pipelines and maintaining our pipeline orchestration system, Airflow™.
• Deploy open-source solutions on Kubernetes using Helm Charts, improving our operational efficiencies.
• Automate manual deployment processes by setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Instill actions promoting a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Support the Data Products team in web application deployment processes, including setting up load balancers, DNS, and other necessary configurations.
• Cultivate a collaborative environment, providing support across multiple teams including PlutoTV, Paramount Domestic and International, and other Paramount brands.
• Develop and document reusable processes for use by other data teams.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code frameworks for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources, ensuring compliance and policy alignment.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify and automate manual processes, improving overall efficiency.
• Lead containerization initiatives, providing training and support to transition applications to containerized environments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate STEM degree and 2+ years of commercial, post graduation industry experience OR graduate STEM degree and 1 year of commercial, post graduation industry experience.
• Tried experience working on cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in deploying solutions on Kubernetes using Helm.
• Solid experience in setting up and running CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions and Cloud Build.
• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and communicate optimally across various teams.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a concerted attention to detail.
• Ability to write scalable, clean deployment code with continuous testing to ensure the reliability and adaptability of the deployment pipeline.
• Familiarity with pipeline orchestration systems like Airflow.
• Knowledgeable in handling web application deployment processes, including load balancing and DNS configurations.
• Eager to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and a willingness to disseminate this knowledge among the team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $74,400.00 - 140,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
