Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from ViacomCBS, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. The service is also the streaming home to unmatched sports programming, including every CBS Sports event, from golf to football to basketball and more, plus exclusive streaming rights for major sports properties, including some of the world's biggest and most popular soccer leagues. Paramount+ also enables subscribers to stream local CBS stations live across the US in addition to the ability to stream ViacomCBS Streaming's other live channels: CBSN for 24/7 news, CBS Sports HQ for sports news and analysis, and ET Live for entertainment coverage.

Data plays a central role at ViacomCBS, and as part of the Data & Insights Group (DIG), our Business Intelligence team is a crucial part of our success. It drives business, content, product, and operational decisions by providing rich data, strategic insights and analytical products. We are looking for an extraordinary Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about data and entertainment and who thrives in a multifaceted and fast-paced environment. The position is anchored around our growing SVOD service Paramount+, which includes a wealth of established library content across CBS, MTV Entertainment Group, Nickelodeon, BET and more, together with its increasing Originals' slate, such as iCarly, Star Trek: Picard; RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, PAW Patrol: The Movie; Queenpins, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run and Why Women Kill and many more!

Role Details:

Join a team that is responsible for developing and generating reports, insights, & analysis across multiple systems passionate about content performance. We identify business, marketing and content programming opportunities, challenges, and trends and are able to communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders in the content and programming vertical. This role will be primarily focused on data analysis work related to Paramount+.

Your Day-to-Day:

Define and deliver content focused KPIs and reporting, that will inform programming and content strategy

Write SQL to query a data warehouse (BigQuery) for data in order to answer questions from a variety of partners

Support content strategy and marketing teams with needed campaign reporting and analyses

Present insights and recommendations to the business in a clear, confident and understandable manner

Develop and maintain statistical and spreadsheet models for forecasting, scenario planning, and other predictive work

Apply reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau, Data Studio to create dashboards that allow non-data savvy users to generate insights and answer questions in a self-service fashion

Research industry trends and communicate how these could potentially impact the business

Key Projects (examples):

Compose comprehensive reporting for Originals and Exclusive Paramount+ titles to provide the business with a regular feedback loop on their performance

Synthesize internal and 3rd party data to provide a comprehensive picture on programming performance

Conduct key analyses around original titles and content cohorts

Design and develop content performance dashboards

Forecast the potential impact that programming shifts could have on digital performance and provide recommendations based on findings

Illuminate programming opportunities for Paramount+, through competitor intelligence analysis and reporting

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years experience in digital marketing/entertainment sector
• Can provide accurate information in a usable form and on a timely basis.
• Proven experience in translating data into insights in a clear and succinct manner, adjusting to a variety of styles and audiences
• Expert in SQL
• Knowledgeable in Tableau; Adobe Analytics; Data Studio
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Great presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fluid environment, against tight deadlines
• Interest in television, entertainment and pop culture

You might also have:
• Strong mathematics, statistics background
• Experience using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery)
• A background in SVOD or other subscription-based digital services
