Job Description
As the Oklahoma City Thunder's Brand Influence and Identity team, we value strategy, live for innovation, and thrive on challenge. We are looking for a driven, experienced, and knowledgeable Media Strategist professional to join our team and help us continue to build the Thunder brand.

The Media Strategist will develop and implement paid and trade advertising strategies and executions for both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma City Blue. This includes print, out of home, digital, radio and TV advertising. The Media strategist will actively evaluate the success of individual campaigns while optimizing each for peak performance and making recommendations for future executions. An important part of this role will be developing and maintaining relationships with external sources, serving as the primary point of contact for media agencies, and working collaboratively across departments. Through innovative and impactful solutions, the Media Strategist will help to produce a consistent brand presence throughout all paid media assets.

In this role you will:
• Oversee seasonal part-time associate using a motivational leadership style that encourages action and empowers success.
• Implement paid and trade advertising strategies that align our organization's goals with our business objectives. That includes leading the strategic purchase and placement of digital and traditional advertising, including paid social, digital display, paid search, digital video, television, radio, print and out of home.
• Manage media plans for all internal and external media placements focusing on objectives, strategies, and tactics.
• Ensure that all advertising campaigns are implemented in an accurate and timely manner.
• Handle all pre- and post-launch ad trafficking.
• Implement all ad-related tracking, including remarketing and conversion pixels.
• Monitor the spend of campaigns to ensure budgets are on track.
• Collaborate closely with the Brand Expression team to accurately position advertising assets based on placement. This includes guiding with insights and general creative direction that reinforces brand guidelines.
• Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to develop, analyze, and deliver campaign recaps with a focus on return on ad spend and return on investment.
• Provide detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques to increase overall performance efficiency of campaigns.
• Identify new opportunities and emerging channels to align messaging to targeted audiences and incorporate regular A/B testing and analysis.
• Conduct ongoing research and development to fine-tune advanced targeting tactics for individual campaigns.

What you'll bring to the role:
• 3-5 years' experience in advertising and analytics with agency experience preferred.
• Experience with digital media platforms (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager), as well as a strong understanding of digital marketing channels, and strategies
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, manage a project from strategy development to completion, and deliver an outstanding product.
• A proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including a strong working knowledge of Excel. Experience using Tableau is beneficial.
• A demonstrated knowledge and experience in SEO/SEM.
• Confidence in working with data and numbers with the ability to present data in various ways to highlight campaign performance.
• Communication strengths including oral, written and listening skills, and strong teamwork and relationship-building talents.
• A natural curiosity and an eagerness to learn.
• Tenacity - complex projects, a fast-past environment a high capacity of projects, and deadlines don't scare you, they energize you.
• A personality that is highly organized, detailed, adaptable, able to work effectively with others, proactive, focused, efficient and has strong time management skills.

• The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure with attention to detail.

Additional Details:

Employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered. Work schedule will include office hours as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Primary work location is Paycom Center located in downtown Oklahoma City. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director, Brand Influence & Identity.
