Overview & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Create series and/or movie budgets, schedules, achievements, and assumptions
• Onboard, mentor, oversee and work closely with Line Producers and production leadership on the shows to help steer them to successful completion on schedule and on budget
• Create, test, evaluate and manage partner vendor relationships, expectations, communication, reporting, and delivery
• Review, manage and assess various department schedules and reports on shows – identify risk areas and help resolve and/or raise issues
• Partner with Development and Current Series to make sure production can achieve the creative goals
• Problem solve with production leadership on series/movies on proactive solutions and day-to-day challenges, as needed, including vendor workflow, pipeline, and organizational solutions
• Assist in the staffing of production management and artistic talent across all shows in production and/or development
• Establish and maintain processes for studio or production management that increase overall efficiency or our ability to move faster, including template budgets or generic schedules
• Partner with Nickelodeon animation cross-functional teams including: Post-Production, Finance, Business Affairs, Labor Relations, Legal, Information Technology, Human Resources, Facility Operations, etc.
• Manage the deal process from the creation of terms to signature, aligning with the Legal team and Executives
• Help establish uniform production metrics and reporting across all series/movies
• Support and partner with the LP on complexity assessments and management on shows – provide recommendations for getting the most value on screen
• With SVP, help create, test, and establish new production and/or development initiatives
• Create and maintain an industry network with key leadership
• Stay current on key industry trends and find opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive production management experience in an animation studio
• Strong production leadership experience in creating and assessing budgets, assumptions, achievements, and schedules for CG / 2D series and third-party productions
• Wide industry knowledge of people, processes, and various pipelines
• Familiarity with important animation software, hardware, databases, and asset management systems
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience in a large dynamic studio a plus
• Relationships and experience working with subcontractors a major plus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, process and team building skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $215,000.00 - 230,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
