Overview & Responsibilities:

Nickelodeon's Communications team crafts and implements publicity campaigns for Paramount Global's preschool, kids' animation, and live-action content, spanning broadcast, radio, print, and digital.

Reporting to the VP, of Communications, the Publicist, Preschool Communications, will drive media relations nationwide for Nickelodeon's preschool business across series launches, specials, and tentpole events including Kids' Choice Awards! They will also lead press for off-channel brand initiatives, including consumer products, corporate, recreation, public affairs, location-based experiences, and more.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement press campaigns for preschool content/properties, including series launches, specials, movies, tentpoles, podcasts, off-channel initiatives and events.
• Build relationships with internal departments (such as Talent, Production/Development, Social, Digital, BALA, International, Consumer Products, Franchise and Marketing) and participate in appropriate meetings to ensure information flow and flag publicity opportunities proactively.
• Provide press support and strategic partnership for Nick Preschool content releases on all platforms, including Paramount+ and external streaming services.
• Draft press materials including press releases, bios, e-mail blasts, pitch letters, media alerts and talking points.
• Select episodic clips to service and pitch to media outlets.
• Pitch and secure broadcast, print, online, and radio interviews on a regional and national level and coordinate press junkets, interviews and satellite media tours.
• Work with writers, bloggers, and producers that cover TV, entertainment, business, trade, celebrity, multicultural, parenting, music, and sports and manage relationships with writers, editors, and producers at top-tier media outlets.
• Media train and prepare talent, creators, and executives for press interviews and manage preschool executive appearances at conferences, animation festivals, and events.
• Update press site as needed (bios, photos, releases, clips, etc.)
• Cover red carpet appearances, press conferences/events, press junkets, photo shoots, set visits, and satellite/radio media tours with network talent and executives.
• Work with department assistants and coordinators on invoicing and payment processes for external vendors.
• Support the publicity team on other key projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years of publicity experience
• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:
• Proven relationships with national, trade and parenting press, including television reporters and parenting bloggers
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels
• Strong media relations skills and the ability to pitch and manage press requests
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Acute attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple tasks, and under tight deadlines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 75,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
