Summary
The NFL is seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Director of Global Marketing Strategy & Planning to lead fan development strategy and marketing planning, with a strong emphasis on international market growth. This leader will work cross-functionally to shape a globally informed strategy that cascades into market-specific plans-covering objectives , KPIs, budgeting, GTM strategy, and execution. Responsibilities
Marketing Strateg ic Planning
• Develop global marketing objectives and success measures
• Build near- and long-term marketing plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Media, Partnerships, Events, Clubs, International)
• Co-develop international market strategies with local leads; provide frameworks, direction, and enable plan optimization
• O perationalize a global KPI framework and forecast targets in partnership with Insights and Analytics teams
Integrated Planning
• Translate strategic plans into actionable go-to-market plans with prioritized initiatives and timelines
• Partner with channel leads t o a lign cross-channel support across social, CRM, consumer media, content, Clubs, players, and partners
• Consult on development of marketing strategies for key fan-facing initiatives, including tune-in, youth participation, brand campaigns, cultural initiatives, youth fan development, sport education, brand elevation, and cause / community marketing.
Budgeting & Planning
• Lead budgeting for global marketing across marketing centers of excellence and market-specific plans
• Oversee global marketing budget on an ongoing basis in partnership with NFL Finance; regularly evaluate optimal allocations across functions, initiatives and markets
• Continuously identify and unlock synergies across global marketing activities, vendors and team operations
Global Marketing Operations
• Facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment across NFL's global marketing efforts
• Drive implementation of global marketing centers of excellence to enable central marketing functions to scale in support of global growth goals
• Orchestrate adoption of AI-based tools to enable efficient scale across marketing disciplines
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing centers of excellence; work in partnership with leadership to refine and optimize the operating model over time to enhance performance and efficiency
• Drive processes that enable scale while sensitiv e to international cultural nuances, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics to ensure marketing resonate s authentically across region s
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years in strategic roles, ideally a mix of consulting and in-house for consumer brands
• Bachelor's degree required ; MBA preferred
• Deep experience in sports, entertainment, or media with a strong grasp of fan behavior and content dynamics
• Demonstrated success in global marketing strategy and execution
• Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities (financial and non-financial KPIs)
• Proficiency in market research, insights application, and data-driven planning
• Familiarity with global content distribution, media business models, and content licensing
• Expertise in AI tools and marketing technologies that enable scale and localization
• International market experience in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, UAE, China, or similar .

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
Occasional travel required within the US and to key international markets (less than 20% of time)
