Job Description
The NFL Data & Analytics team is looking for an experienced Director, reporting to the VP of Fan Data & Analytics and based in the New York corporate headquarters, to lead the Club Support Data Science & Analytics team. This critical position will collaborate across key internal stakeholders and external partners to enable enhanced data-driven decision making that fuels fan and revenue growth across our 32 clubs. Responsibilities
• Be the trusted data science & analytics advisor to our internal League and Club stakeholders across ticketing, revenue optimization strategies, and scalable insights & data products that drive growth & engagement at the clubs
• Manage and develop a team of high performing data scientists and analysts
• Frame and address complex business questions using advanced analytics, statistics, and data science techniques to drive actionable outcomes
• Build analytic roadmap that not only ensures continued support of our Club's most critical business priorities but also articulates a vison for taking data science and analytic capabilities to the next level leveraging our unique data assets at the League
• Collaborate with global functional partners including Club Business Development, Sponsorships, Club support teams, International markets, Data engineering, legal, privacy & consent, and others, to build scalable solutions, enable adoption, and ensure flawless execution of go-to-market initiatives

Required Qualifications
• Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, and 3-5+ years' experience leading a data science or analytics team
• Inspiring and passionate leader with a history of developing high performing teams
• Track record of developing advanced analytic insights and creating scalable data-driven solutions to drive quantifiable business outcomes and enhanced customer experiences
• Exhibits ability to develop analytical roadmaps and strategies (including KPI development and tracking) as well as success in bringing cross-functional stakeholders together to execute these plans as go-to-market initiatives
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience activating and measuring customer treatment strategies. Should be familiar with test & learn strategies.
• Experience working with large, complex, disparate, sensitive individual-level, datasets using SQL, Python, statistical methods, machine learning frameworks, etc
• Solid applied understanding of data management & governance principles, including identity, matching, privacy and marketing consent protocols.
• Experience working with global customer data and the sports industry a plus

Travel
• Yes, occasional travel to regional stakeholder offices both US and outside US

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
• NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
