Senior Data Analyst

The Nexstar Data Team is seeking an experienced analyst to help drive business decisions by providing actionable insights and recommendations regarding revenue, digital strategy and operations. The Senior Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in advising stakeholders on a course of action based on data insights.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, passionate, data-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and can operate effectively in independent and collaborative team settings. Must have a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and a willingness to work towards creative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner. It is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing data team for the nation's largest TV stations chain and help move our business into the future.

Role Responsibilities:
• Interpret Nexstar's digital traffic and revenue data gathered from various sources and analyze trends in KPIs to support business decisions
• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
• Develop and support the analytical technologies that give our stakeholders timely, flexible and structured access to their data.
• Own periodic or ad-hoc data analysis reporting and data investigations including monitoring and QA.
• Collaborate internally within the data team as well as with product, revenue, finance, etc. teams
• Support Nexstar's data collection and dashboard creation based on stakeholder needs

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or relevant work experience)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data points into a cohesive storyline
• At least 5 years experience in an ad operations, account management, trafficking, or inventory analyst role; Publisher side experience is a plus
• Experience in the digital media space and familiarity with Ad Servers (Google Ad Manager), Order Management (WideOrbit) and Web Analytics Tracking Systems (Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics)
• Experience working with large data sets
• Strong knowledge of visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• Proficient in Excel (role will be excel heavy) with SQL knowledge a plus
• Ability to learn quickly and independently; resourceful and adaptable
• Analytical and data-driven, with an ability to troubleshoot a problem in creative ways
• Very detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Location = Chicago, New York City, Dallas, Austin, Denver, St Louis or Charlotte with preference to New York City, NY and Chicago, IL

The salary range for this role is $80K-$100K. Other benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Match, Vacation and Paid Parental Leave.
