Sports Anchor (NE)
The ideal candidate is an on-air talent who can wear many hats on the programming team and has a passion for hockey. Duties may include sports news writing and reading, audio production, on-location broadcasts, weekly hockey related show, podcasts, and pre/post-game host.
Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required.
• Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to edit and produce audio files such as podcasts.
Responsibilities
• Pre/post game host.
• Host of a w eekly hockey related show.
• Podcasting.
• Assist department in executing broadcast needs including dealing with clients and sponsors.
• Largely an in-studio/stadium venue environment, while also attending content shoots/activations with players in the community as needed.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday hours will be required.
• Responds to breaking news and other urgent team related news.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
