Nexstar Digital is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to join the Consumer Insights Team. This advertising sales support role requires insightful storytelling grounded in audience research analysis to consult brand and agency clients on marketing strategy. The right candidate possesses a strong curiosity to gain a deep understanding of consumer behavior, emerging media trends and how they intersect to inform media campaigns and proposals. They think ''beyond the brief'' and relish in uncovering insightful findings to zestfully tell a persuasive, data-driven story.

We are looking for a manager with 6+ years of experience in ad sales research and proficient with syndicated research tools such as MRI-Simmons, Comscore, and Nielsen Scarborough. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader and a resourceful strategic thinker who excels at problem-solving. They are passionate about media, attentive to detail and have a strong desire to deliver exceptional work that drives positive results.

The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights reports to the Vice President of Consumer Insights and will collaborate with the Ad Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Ad Operations departments at Nexstar Digital.

Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Ad Sales to understand client media campaign goals and business objectives; serve as the Insights subject matter expert during internal strategy sessions for RFPs, proposals and sales presentations
• Align client needs and challenges with research analysis to inform ideal marketing solutions
• Access, analyze and interpret reports culled from various syndicated studies and proprietary systems to transform data points into creative, compelling, and actionable insights
• Review advertising trends alongside consumer insights to identify prospective media opportunities for brands and clients that lead to increased revenue
• Clearly and concisely display consumer insights through written and designed deliverables that effectively communicate the message; confidently present insights internally and externally as needed with the ability to articulate complex analyses in a simple and digestive manner
• Independently manage project deadlines and delegation to ensure timely delivery of ad-hoc sales requests
• Lead and coach Insights team on research best practices, processes, and performance
• Contribute ideas and assist in cultivating concepts during team and cross-departmental brainstorm gatherings
• Keep abreast of marketplace conditions to monitor the media landscape; remain informed on current and relevant business topics across all consumer categories

Skills and Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in advertising research at a media company, agency or market research firm preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or Market Research preferred
• Proficient with syndicated research providers, methodology and platforms such as MRI-Simmons, Comscore, Nielsen Scarborough, and Kantar
• Knowledge of traditional and digital media; linear and online video is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Able to balance and prioritize multiple strategic assignments at once, in a deadline driven environment
• Highly motivated, self-starter, independent, resourceful, proactive
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

Compensation ranges from $100-115k per year + commensurate with experience and skill level.
