Marketing Producer / Editor

Job Description

The Marketing Producer/ Editor I will be a highly motivated and creative individual. This position will be responsible for producing effective on-air promotional spots, digital marketing and special projects.
• Confers with marketing director and other personnel to discuss assignments, work product and desired effects
• Helps to write, produce, and execute marketing/promotional initiatives (contests, production of on-air content including promos, etc.)
• Production crew member/camera operator (setting up and breaking down equipment, camera, lighting, audio, etc.)
• Provides assistance in shooting and editing content (full episodes, interviews, segments, and B-roll) for our local programs (Sam Choy's in the Kitchen, Modern Wahine Hawaii, Aloha Authentic, etc.)
• Designs graphics for on-air, print, and web
• Uses Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, etc.) for production and post-production of content
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• High school diploma
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Must be available 40 hours a week
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Minimum two years' experience in marketing/copywriting required
• Creative writing and television writing experience preferred
• Minimum two years' video production experience required (camera operating, lighting, audio, etc.)
• Minimum two years' experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects required
• Experience in graphic & motion graphic design for on-air, print, and web (InDesign/Illustrator/After Effects) required
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Some off-island travel may be required

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The Marketing Producer/Editor must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use e-mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, and work both indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoors in all weather conditions. In addition, the Marketing Producer/Editor must be able to lift, set up, and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls for extended periods of time. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions. The Marketing Producer/Editor may be required to travel off-island.
