Job Description

The Lifestyle Host will host Trends & Friends each weekday. The successful candidate is a skilled and seasoned communicator who is adept at engaging viewers, guests, and clients in a non-scripted, fun, lifestyle show environment. Knowledge of current events, popular culture, and compelling subjects making news in Lubbock, TX is key. The ideal candidate brings strong interview skills, relatable on-camera personality, and an energetic social media presence. In addition to on-camera hosting of the show, ideal candidate should be competent in finding, shooting and editing engaging stories in the Lubbock community. Contributions to other KLBK & KAMC programs and platforms may be required. Position will include some nights and weekends for shoots, social media contributions, as well as community/promotional events.

Re quirements & Skills :
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum two years' experience in news reporting (More or less depending on market size)
• Superior on-air presence
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Flexibility to work any shift
