Job Description
IT Networks Engineer (Midlevel)

With the continued growth and dependency on a robust nationwide network, we are looking for a mid-level Network Engineer to support and maintain our existing networks. This position will primarily be working directly with our TV stations in a customer facing support role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware
• Installing and configuring network equipment
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
• Troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• 3+ years of Network Engineering Experience
• Certifications: Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS or JNCIP
• Experience and working knowledge with the following Network Hardware Platforms and related Operating Systems:
• Experience and working knowledge with the following: Juniper MX, Juniper EX Series, Juniper QFX Series, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ISR, Cisco ASR
• Experience and working knowledge of the following Firewall Hardware Platforms: Juniper SRX, Fortigate, Checkpoint
• Experience and working knowledge of the following Wi-Fi systems: Aruba, Ubiquiti, or Forticlient
• Experience and working knowledge of the following Network Protocols: Spanning-Tree, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP
• Strong Customer Facing Skills
