NewsChannel 9 WSYR-TV, the ABC affiliate in Syracuse New York, is seeking a creative, innovative, and passionate full-time Graphic Designer to join our Promotions team! Working closely with the News, Sales, and Promotions departments you will design still and motion graphics to support our multi-platform on-air, streaming, and digital products. You will also have the opportunity to contribute as a videographer and video editor within the Promotions Department and on special projects across the station.

The successful candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker who strives for excellence and is not afraid to take on a challenge. Problem solving and the ability to work under tight deadlines and make quick decisions is a must. Candidate must be willing to collaborate and communicate with the creative team and be capable of taking direction and working in a team environment. We are looking for someone with a passion for creating visual content, and who can identify and appreciate quality design and production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop animations and promotional graphics that coincide with the station brand
• Conceptualize, create, and assist sales department for any potential sales collateral
• Create and produce any print pieces for newspaper, magazine, or program pieces
• Create and produce any web graphics for television station website
• Assist in coordinating all station photography for staff and other projects
• Assist the Promotions Manager in policing and enforcing station branding
• Shoot and edit promotional spots, campaigns, etc.
• Work with creative teams on special projects as needed

Requirements & Skills
• Degree in Art, Design or Broadcasting (Preferred)
• At least three years of experience in graphic design with experience in Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and to deliver finished projects on a tight deadline
• Highly effective communications and organizational skills
