Job Description
WGN America is currently seeking a Feed Room Operator.
Responsibilities:
The WGN America Feed room operator will be responsible for operation of multiple systems associated with the NewsNation operation.
Qualifications:
• Ability to quickly manage, tune in and record TVU's, LiveU, Dejero, Zoom, Microwave and Satellite signals for WGN America's News Nation.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Bitcentral and ENPS systems a plus. Undergradute degree in broadcasting or similar major required.
• Good communication skills and the ability to quickly multi-task is essential.
• Three to five years television news gathering and microwave experience is required.
The Chicago facility originates two national television networks and WGN-TV/Channel 9. This position is a full time staff position which will require membership in IBEW.
