Job Description
The Broadcast Engineer p erforms the repair, replacement, modification, installation, removal, adjustment, and integration of all RF and related equipment that is essential for the operation for WJTV and WHLT.
• Repair and maintain microwave transmitters and receivers.
• Repair and maintain VHF high power transmitters.
• Repair and maintain UHF high power transmitters.
• Repair and maintain remote control equipment.
• Maintains all broadcast technology and equipment for the station.
• Assists with installs and maintains the IT network, switches, data backups, workstations and printers.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• A Degree in electronics, military training, or trade school is necessary but related experience will be evaluated.
• Three years maintenance of audio, video, and RF experience preferred.
• Knowledge of gas & diesel powered AC generator, surge suppressers, air conditioning systems, digital theory, microprocessors, computer operations, as well as general electronics, theory and practices of good television standards as well as a thorough knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Must be competent in the use of electronic test equipment.
• Possess or able to obtain a valid Mississippi driver's license.
• Must be willing and physically capable of working in hot, cold, wet, cramped, noisy, or dirty places.
