Job Description
The Director is the key financial and strategic business partner to the CRO and advertising sales department heads. They will lead the implementation of strategic and tactical business plans and objectives and help ensure proper processes and procedures are developed to deliver revenue.
Responsibilities include:
• As the Director FP&A for advertising sales, this role is a key strategic business partner to the CRO and department heads.
• In partnership with the CRO, develop the ad sales operating plan and budget. Will drive the annual and quarterly/monthly planning processes for the revenue business.
• Will set annual budget and forecasting targets in partnership with platform monetization & strategy.Will lead department heads through the budget process.
• Maintain financial forecasting models including pipeline analysis and risks/opportunities.
• Support decision making by identifying necessary actionable steps in response to key financial variances.
• Partner with accounting in managing monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accruals and rev are accurate.
• Assessing budget to actuals performance by project and clients across agencies, clients, etc.
• Lead compensation incentive plans & payouts.Partner on sales incentive design, planning and communication.
• Build and present monthly reporting packages for the CRO and Executive Leadership team such as detailed P&Ls, project reporting, resource utilization, T&E management, and more for the ad sales division.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects at request
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
About you:
• 10+ years' experience in advertising, media, and relevant sales management roles
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, business, or related field preferred
• Media industry experience preferred
• Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work across the organization
• Must possess a high level of critical thinking and analytical skills
• Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and model building
• Can effectively communicate and translate complex financial scenarios in concise, easy to understand ways that resonate with key stakeholders
• Understanding of the full P&L, variance analysis, impact of price, mix and volume, etc. and all levers that impact it.Ability to report and communicate this information at the highest level of the organization.
