Job Description
Nexstar Media Group, the largest local television broadcaster in the United States, seeks an exceptional communicator to join our growing Corporate Communications team. This position supports the daily operations of Nexstar's numerous corporate engagement platforms targeting both internal and external audiences, employees, investors, and consumers. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded media professional with excellent writing, presentation and digital content production skills.

We are looking for a compelling storyteller who is results-oriented and prioritizes delivering solutions over checking a box. This role will be integral to the daily and ongoing operations of the department by creating and enhancing content across multiple digital communication channels, including the company intranet, consumer-facing websites, social media and email marketing.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creation of high-quality content to promote awareness of corporate and local market initiatives, encourage brand engagement and facilitate better and more open communication within the organization. You will be helping create things that make other people's jobs easier, keeps our employees and audiences informed, and improves reputation management.

Strong writing, organizational and communications skills are a must. Creativity, strategic planning, and critical thinking are essential to success. As a member of the Corporate Communications team, this role interacts frequently with executives and management teams across the company. Candidates should be comfortable working with and advising leadership in both a creative and strategic capacity.

Responsibilities
• Produce and develop original content to promote and market Nexstar's products and businesses across multiple media channels
• Perform routine hands-on content management activities across multiple platforms, including WordPress, SharePoint, streaming and social media channels, among others
• Assist in the development of marketing and communication plans supporting key corporate and product brand initiatives
• Facilitate local market content and data collaboration efforts to support global communications, marketing and sales initiatives
• Advise and guide content contributors through all stages of production and release
• Edit, package and produce contributor content so that it meets established editorial, design and production standards, guidelines and best practices
• Monitor content contributor workflows and enforce governance standards and practices
• Assist with the execution of various communications initiatives including website launches, town halls and social media campaigns

Basic Qualifications
• Experience as a content creator for digital platforms a must; direct hands-on html and video streaming production experience preferred
• Experience writing and editing original content for large and diverse audiences
• Ability to produce presentations and other written marketing and business collateral using Adobe and Microsoft products
• Familiarity with CMS production tools, including the ability to adjust writing styles to create original content suitable for distribution on websites, apps and social media
• Knowledge of AP writing style
• Working knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices preferred
• Background in Journalism and particularly Broadcast Media a plus
• Media relations and experience communicating with members of the press a plus
• Ability to process complex information about business practices, entertainment and corporate enterprises and simplify concepts to express key messages for easy comprehension by general audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in English, PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Broadcast Media, or related fields.
