Job Description

The Digital Audience Activation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing activities focused on acquisition and activation campaigns that help our stations get to know their audience better and convert new visitors into loyal visitors. This role is primarily focused on B2C but will have some involvement with B2B and B2B2C opportunities as well. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Audience Platforms, this person will work closely with data strategy, advertising and local TV station colleagues, and partner with engineering and product groups to turn ideas into solutions that grow audience and revenue.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, resourceful, and can operate effectively independently and in collaborative team settings. This position requires a deep understanding of digital media and a willingness to work towards creative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner. It is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing audience marketing team for the nation's largest TV stations chain and help move our business into the future. Familiarity with the broadcast industry is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Ideate: Work alongside 100 local TV stations to conceive of unique digital experiences that acquire and retain visitors
• Partner: Collaborate with product, sales, and data strategy teams to develop product features and campaigns that grow audience and revenue
• Create: Identify, build, and manage audience segments, campaigns and user journeys that can be used for personalization and advertising / marketing activation
• Launch: Train, evangelize and promote audience activation value and efforts
• Manage: Coordinate with colleagues and vendors to follow project management best practices, ensuring feature requests and bugs are handled appropriately.
• Measure: Measure, report and assess performance against KPIs and ROI
• Optimize: Leverage data and insights to plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
• Evaluate: Stay on top of merging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for future adoption

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with email marketing, digital advertising, or content marketing
• At least 2+ years of experience in a related position working in or with a publisher, digital media, ad tech or digital marketing company
• Working experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Email Service Providers (CDP) and Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Hands on experience with HTML and CSS a plus
• Knowledge about 1st-party data and email compliance best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA)
• Intermediate skills with Google Analytics and business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio); experience with SQL a plus
