Job Description

WGN America is looking to hire a full-time bureau News Photographer/Editor based in Atlanta.
The news photographer will travel to cover regional stories in and around the state of Georgia.

Duties to include:
-Shoot video for news reports
-Confer with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics and shot requirements
-Maintain video equipment
-Edit video clips for television broadcasts and digital content
-Operates portable live unit and satellite trucks in remote situations
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Travel will be required

Requirements & Skills:
-Minimum five years' experience of news gathering
-BA degree in communications preferred or related experience
-Valid driver's license
-Ability to lift and carry equipment in the range of 50 lbs. in weight
-Basic knowledge of live truck operation
-Good communications skills with sound editorial judgement
