Job Description

The Analytics Architect is responsible for driving digital strategy by implementing data capture solutions for Nexstar Inc.'s hundreds of websites and mobile apps. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, this person will work closely with other members of the central data team and partner with engineering and product groups to ensure that the right measurement stack is in place. Must have a deep understanding of digital media and a willingness to work towards creative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, passionate, organized, and can operate effectively in independent and collaborative team settings. Should have a proven history of implementing web and app analytics. It is a unique opportunity to build the digital tracking and measurement strategy for the nation's largest chain of TV stations, and to help move our business into the future. Familiarity with the broadcast industry is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Implementation and customization of data collection processes
• Collaboration with engineers, vendors, and agencies to enable end-to-end marketing measurement solutions
• Serve as a technical resource providing data collection technology stack gap analysis and recommendations
• Answer internal and external (GA, GTM, Segment and 3rd-party media vendor)
implementation requests
• Development of A/B tests as part of overarching optimization programs
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and data-driven solutions, and to communicate these effectively

Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years in data and analytics, market research, insights creation, and strategy
development
• Experience implementing and overseeing a tag management system (Google Tag Manager, Ensighten, Tealium, etc.) or data collection platform such as Segment or BlueConic
• Expertise designing measurement solutions for Google Analytics and Firebase
• Familiarity with client-side JavaScript tracking techniques
• In-depth experience with digital media, including analytics, advertising, and audience acquisition strategies
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to look beyond existing business and technology limitations to identify the ''next big thing''
• Proven success in the execution/project management of large-scale data projects from inception through completion
• Experience with debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting data solutions and
dashboards
• Experience with thorough, rigorous testing and validation of data
• Experience with measuring digital video performance a plus
