Job Description
The Digital Coordinator manages the day-to-day product and analytics tasks for NewsNation digital, acts as digital liaison for the marketing and sales departments, and maintains the quality of the digital platforms. Based off their interest and career goals, a successful digital coordinator will have the opportunity to advance to either the digital product or analytics teams, or continue on a path to a bigger role within the NewsNation newsroom.

Position Description
• Monitors and provides actionable day-to-day analytics and insights to the NewsNation editorial team
• Supports day-to-day product projects
• Executes sales- and marketing-related product initiatives
• Serves as a point of contact for the enterprise product and analytics teams
• Monitors the NewsNation website and app for consistency; from broken links to outdated pages to malfunctioning digital features. Coordinates updates and fixes them
• Assists with digital training and onboarding
• Manages regular quality audits of the website and app
• Supports OTT and other streaming initiatives
• The potential to support other newsroom initiatives, from copy editing and search engine optimization to video editing and social media management
• Position is based in Chicago, IL

• Minimum 3 years experience on the digital side of a newsroom (print, broadcast or digital)
• Experience using analytics tools to make editorial decisions, including tools such as Google Analytics, Chartbeat and Crowdtangle
• Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, etc.
• Familiarity with working with digital product teams in areas such as mobile app and/or OTT app development, and web platforms
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple departments, from sales to marketing to product to analytics
• Ability to apply or desire to learn data visualization techniques, including the use of software such as Tableau, Infogram or other similar programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, calmly and courteously under pressure
• Organized self-starter with the ability to multitask, operate with urgency and prioritize in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
