This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney.

This position involves a rotating shift roster to cover the operational requirements of the business. The Technicians work early morning and late night shifts as well as weekend and occasional overnight shifts.

Working as part of the Technology Team in a supervisory capacity, the Supervising Technician will provide IT and systems support to all departments within the station.

Functions will include:
• Technical support and maintenance of Broadcast equipment
• Working with equipment suppliers to ensure minimum down time and optimal reliability of broadcast equipment and systems.
• Providing a professional high level of service and guidance to end users and clients.
• Documentation of systems and procedures.

What are we looking for in a Supervising Technician? What's important?

Qualifications in IT or Systems Engineering with experience in:
• Linux OS and scripting
• Windows Systems Administration
• Network Administration and Support
• Hardware troubleshooting

Experience supporting and maintaining the following:
• post-production systems
• Broadcast graphics equipment
• Media Asset management systems
• SQL or Oracle databases

Personal skills and abilities must include:
• Able to work well in high pressure, time critical situations
• Demonstrated supervisory skills
• Can operate in a professional and courteous manner
• An effective communicator
• Ability to assess and resolve problems accurately and quickly
