About Enterprise Resilience at Netflix:
The Enterprise Resilience program ensures Netflix's continued ability to produce and deliver world-class entertainment to our customers. We're the team that helps our colleagues continue doing incredible things while understanding what and where their risk of disruption lies. This team identifies resilience risk across the entire organization, from technology (both internal and customer-facing) to business functions and studio production.
Evolution of Resilience:
As Netflix has grown, so has our approach to resilience. For a considerable time, a strategy of leaving resilience to the individual functional leaders kept us from investing in a traditional Enterprise Resilience function. However, our complexity requires us to understand resilience risk at a strategic level with our increased growth and success. We are building out this capability to provide context to our risk owners and enable them to continue to manage their own resilience effectively. As a member of this team, you will be focused on our technology continuity risks, specifically cloud-based reliability and resilience.
We're looking for an experienced leader who can build and lead this technology resilience program and capability. Netflix has a long history of defining and developing continuity and recovery programs that have become industry standards. What you'll need to be successful in this role:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and powerfully leverage cross-functional relationships
• Clearly understand traditional BC/DR, ERM, and GRC methodologies
• Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery principles, specifically AWS reliability pillar concepts
• Ability to create clearly defined outputs from ambiguous inputs
• Ability to be proactive and identify potential areas of growth/investment and efficiency gains
