Technical Solutions Developer, Digital Content Production (Animation)

The Role

As a Solutions Developer on this team you will be working with production teams and digital artists (internal & external) along with enterprise application engineers. In this role you will be responsible for providing solutions to scale the automation of processes, and integration of 3rd party applications as platforms. This will include Autodesk Shotgun as a centralized production management tool. You will analyze production and artist's needs, design and develop architecture and tools with customized enhancements to provide a solution to support the growth of production and its global reach. You should have experience with services based architectures, programming in Python, and Java based frameworks, developing tools using a variety of 3rd party software API's, and working in a production environment.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Establish detailed program specifications through discussions with users
• Design, implement and iterate with users on tools and workflow that service multiple productions and leverage best practices
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to stay aligned on product roadmaps across enterprise applications
• Provide guidance to artists and Technical Directors on designing user friendly experiences, and structuring data
• Maintain and update existing near-term solutions until features are incorporated into enterprise applications
• Developing plug-in or tools for artists working around the world

Some qualifications we'd like to see
• Experience in VFX and/or 3D feature animation shot production pipeline teams with a specific focus on production management and engineering solutions using the Shotgun API
• Experience in transforming business operations in a large enterprise with many simultaneous productions
• Extensive experience in Python, C++ or java
• Familiarity with 3rd party tools like Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and their API's
• Ability to work independently and drive results
• A track record of success while working autonomously
