We are looking for an experienced and passionate executive to lead our UCAN Series Marketing Operations teams, based in Los Angeles, California. Marketing Operations & Production is a center-of-excellence for creative operations and marketing production. This role will work closely with Marketing, Publicity, Product and other cross-functional groups at Netflix to connect our stories with millions of people worldwide.

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Director, Marketing Operations & Production, you will chart the operational strategy across our UCAN Drama & Genre Series Marketing slates. You will lead a team of highly talented Operations Managers, who are responsible for the end-to-end project management of our Marketing campaigns. Managing creative timelines, production budgets for promotional assets, and partnering with creative, media, social, publicity and other cross-functional teams. The Marketing Operations team ultimately delivers thousands of marketing assets each year across multiple markets and media channels.

The ideal candidate excels at identifying and implementing cross-functional solutions that will drive operational scale and improved quality for our marketing campaigns across our slate of US-based Series. The role requires an inspiring and inclusive leader, with experience developing and coaching teams towards common goals, collaborating with multiple stakeholder teams, and leading through influence. An ideal candidate demonstrates strong judgment in the face of ambiguity, innovation, and an ever-evolving business landscape.

This role is based in Los Angeles, California.

Key Responsibilities
• Business Acumen & Functional Expert. Lead a team with technical expertise in creative operations and project management. Drive business innovation and vision for these functional areas, both internally (for our teams, workflows, and tooling) and cross-functionally (across our stakeholder teams).
• Operational Strategist & Project Management. Proactively identify business-critical issues and opportunities to improve how we track, produce, share, utilize, and traffic promotional assets at Netflix. Balance the short and long-term needs of MO&P and multiple cross-functional Marketing and Communications teams. Elevate our project management functions to enable flexible, simple and impactful processes and structure. Drive accountability for operational and business improvement.
• Team Leadership & People Management. Be a talent multiplier. Empower, support, and cultivate a team of senior-level operational professionals. Be a natural team leader with a proven track record of articulating team purpose and priorities, and rallying teams around them. Take a hands-on approach to day-to-day campaign challenges to support the team and drive individuals' and collective team growth.
• Resource & Capacity Planning. Plan and optimize team bandwidth across a robust slate of titles, ensuring adequate coverage and maximum impact. Contribute to long range team planning and forecasting.
• Local & Global Player. Ability to be an advocate for UCAN Drama & Genre Series and when necessary driving custom solutions to meet business needs. At the same time, collaborate with leadership on scalable solutions that drive improvement and impact for global Marketing teams.
• Data Fluency & Budgets. Partner with Strategy & Analysis counterparts to further our operational metrics agenda and drive process improvements. Forecast operational budgets, ensuring work is adequately funded. Collaborate with your counterpart on UCAN Comedy & Nonfiction Series on yearly forecasting and management of underages/overages throughout the fiscal year.
• Culture Building. Be a strong culture role model, leading by example in alignment with the principles of our work culture. In doing so, prioritize and foster an environment driven by these principles, and enables members of the team to embody them as well.

Experience & Skills
• 10+ years of experience in marketing creative operations, production, and/or project management, preferably at an entertainment studio, network, or agency.
• Experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing and scaling a high volume of creative assets
• Be both quantitative and qualitative. You have strong analytical acumen to evaluate complex systems and dissect problems. You have confidence in learning across disciplines, speaking multiple professional languages, and translating needs into opportunities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional skills, with the ability to engage, listen, and collaborate with internal departments to align on strategic solutions
• Strong stakeholder manager, who can balance executive leadership's expectations, collaborate with peer leaders, and drive teams at any level towards impactful solutions
• You foster an environment of inclusivity and prioritize the ongoing growth and development of those on your team.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and have a goal-oriented entrepreneurial mindset, driven to succeed and always up for a challenge!
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $280,000-$380,000.
