Job Description
Our mission at Netflix is to entertain the world. We strive to bring joy to every one of our members. To make the many kinds of original content that have become synonymous with our brand, Netflix is building the largest creative studio in the world. Something at this scale has never been done before and many groups at Netflix are pitching in to contribute. The Studio Production Engineering organization is doing its part by building products, pipelines, and solutions that empower production teams who operate across the globe to spend their time on creative work, not media logistics. For us, this isn't just about solving tough problems. It's about enabling operational efficiency.

Netflix is a global company and we're building a globally distributed studio to make more of our own content. Producing content at scale is a complicated creative process that involves many steps taken by creative and operational teams. When these teams are scattered across the globe, it's the infrastructure, tooling, and automation we provide that keeps them connected, creating, and sharing. To be successful, we strive to support the creative process and stay out of the production's way.

We believe in fostering inclusion and building diversity within our own team. Our teams are full of a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. We believe the plurality of experience, opinions, and skills within our team is what makes us succeed in our own mission.

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who is excited about working with developers, product managers, external teams, and production technologists to help us build high-quality, custom solutions to satisfy a wide range of production needs.

This role is based in Warsaw and our teams work in a hybrid-working model.

You may enjoy working with us if you:
• Design and implement testing strategies and processes by collaborating with product engineering to understand requirements, workflows, software and system interdependencies, and areas of focus.
• Test releases, capture issues, identify improvements and work with partner teams to ensure our core studio-related integrations, applications, and services are operating efficiently.
• Enable automation for regression tests covering a wide area of functionality from native Electron applications to full-featured web applications and more (preferred programming languages - JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Java).
• Continuously test and support our products, to ensure continued stability for productions.
• Drive improvements to the QA process based on customer and developer needs.

We would love to work with you if:
• You have experience creating automated software testing processes across multiple platforms (web and desktop applications, back-end) including identifying areas of focus, and building and executing test plans that cover a wide range of testing (functionality, usability, compatibility, and regression).
• You are strategic in your testing approach and can collaborate with stakeholders to determine the balance between release velocity and impact on the user experience.
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills and can clearly capture issues using bug-tracking software.
• You have technical curiosity and are ready to help across the team and learn new skills.
• You have problem-solving, troubleshooting, and thinking out-of-the-box skills.
• You have a strong drive for understanding the applications you test, identifying issues, and digging in deeper to gain a better understanding versus just running through a list of things to check.
• You have an attention to detail and a strong drive to sustain quality, not just in the software part - but in the whole software development life cycle (improving processes, documentation, and specifications, taking care of tickets, etc.).
• Knowledge of studio production workflows, tools, and technologies is a plus.

Does this sound interesting? We'd love to talk to you!

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity of thought and background builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, color, place of birth, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, military service status, or disability status.
