Productivity Engineering is the organization tasked with making Netflix engineers more effective by building and supporting the infrastructure to create, build, test, deploy, run and monitor the Netflix stack. As Netflix continues to grow, so does the complexity behind our engineering systems. Our challenge is deceivingly simple: keep the developer experience amazing even as complexity grows. Our work impacts virtually every developer at Netflix and enables other platform teams to innovate at a faster pace.

In this job, you will:
• Learn about the ins and outs of the Netflix developer ecosystem
• Work to reduce toil using abstractions that unlock value for language platforms
• Pave the path away from large microservices and into composable and managed components
• Provide polished building blocks that work great out of the box but are open to extension
• Use your knowledge and leadership skills to influence other developers and advocate for best practices
On our radar:
• Building a local/hybrid Kubernetes-like experience
• Enabling platform teams to build, deploy, test, and manage infra sidecars
• Automating dependency management
• Reimagining the build graph in a cloud-first world
• Improving testability across the board
• Driving towards a serverless future

While we use and support many different platforms and languages, our team primarily uses Golang and Node for our tooling. Experience with these, along with the container ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and CI/CD tools will help you be successful at this job. US-based remote is ok!
