The Android team sits at the intersection of this global growth, compounded with an ever-increasing mobile usage for content consumption.

The Android Platform team is responsible for the playback, download, authentication, and networking infrastructure that powers the product experience. We are also responsible for the SDK that allows Netflix's mobile games to integrate seamlessly with Netflix's backend services. The Android Platform team is looking for a senior software engineer to lead our automated testing strategy across both platforms. The position will set the Android Platform automation road map strategy and partner closely with Netflix mobile lab engineers, which manage a state-of-the-art lab housing 1000+ mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have solid engineering proficiency, strong technical leadership, and a consistent track record solving critical engineering problems.

What you'll be doing
• Set the vision and strategy for supporting automated testing for Android Platform Streaming and Mobile Game SDK.
• Engage cross functionally with Android client engineers and supporting backend teams to understand automation needs.
• Improve Android automation architecture to better serve the needs of the Android development teams.
• Analyze test run data to gain insights on how to improve test stability, coverage and performance.
