Senior Research Engineer, Personalization Recommendation Algorithms

We also recently introduced games for our members on mobile devices.

As part of the team, you will contribute to the algorithms that drive the personalization and recommendations for members all around the world. You will lead requirements, design, and implementation of our distributed machine learning systems, and have the opportunity to work alongside our applied researchers and data scientists on the cutting edge of machine learning.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong software engineering background, a keen sense of software design, have proven experience with distributed applications, be a good communicator, and work well in large cross-functional teams.

What we are looking for:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a successful track record of delivering quality results
• Strong software design and development skills (e.g. in Scala, Java, C#, or C++)
• Experience with large-scale data frameworks, such as Spark or Scalding
• Experience with parallel and distributed computing
• BS in Computer Science or related field

Preferred, but not required additional areas of experience:
• Significant contributions to open source projects
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
• Strong background in math, statistics, or numerical computation
• Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc
