The Ads, Brand & Reputation, and Emerging Experiences Consumer Insights (ABREE CI) group is part of the broader Data & Insights organization at Netflix. We keep Netflix ahead of the curve by shifting focus to previously underserved innovation areas and understanding consumers' and key opinion formers' perceptions of the Netflix brand and reputation in global markets. Our company-wide perspective ensures that our insights inspire decisions. Within the Brand & Reputation pod of the ABREE CI group, a critical workstream is to equip the company with an always-on, holistic, and measurable understanding of its brand & reputation by scaling brand health & reputation monitoring practices across all business areas. We are on a mission to help the business understand the relationship between brand and business success metrics of acquisition and retention.

We are looking for a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join the team who will have the opportunity to provide analytic rigor to our work and the deliverables we create through deep analysis of our survey and behavioral datasets, triangulating with other research sources where appropriate. Being able to take a business-critical question or hypothesis and explore different sources to inform the answer or propose alternative points of view as necessary provides the ability to influence the Netflix business on a global scale.

In this role, you will:
• Support the development of key brand metrics to orient the business, and through advanced analyses demonstrate connection to key business outcomes
• Build relationships with Data Science, Engineering, and Core CI to make survey data accessible, reliable, and scalable via dashboards
• Anticipate business priorities by proactively exploring datasets (surveys, behavioral, 3rd party) to uncover trends and observations and surfacing relevant findings to stakeholders.
• Synthesize quantitative data from multiple sources (surveys, behavioral, 3rd party), including visualization of data, into clear and compelling narratives in decks and memos, tailored to the needs and communication preferences of the audience
• Proactively partner with other researchers and cross-functional partners, including Product, Data Science, Regional teams, Content, Marketing, and Brand, to develop new research initiatives with a focus on impact within the Brand & Reputation CI pod.

Research Experience
• 7+ years of demonstrable experience in quantitative research, leading end-to-end quantitative research studies; and managing research vendors
• Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics is a plus but not required.
• Experience with a wide range of different kinds of quantitative surveys (e.g., longitudinal, tracking experience is strongly preferred), advanced data techniques (Max Diff, Conjoint, Segmentations, Drivers Analysis)
• Experience in other quantitative research approaches and methods (including Psychophysiology, Eye-tracking, Implicit measures [like timed tasks], experimental studies [lab and surveys] is a plus but not required.

Analytic Skills
• An analytical mindset; you love digging into the data (including survey data, public ''big data'' repositories, and internally logged data) for hidden connections and patterns and to proactively uncover insights based on critical business questions
• You know how to balance analytical rigor with pragmatism and actionability
• Experience with longitudinal analysis, multilevel/mixed effects modeling, and survey weighting is a plus. Strong SQL and Quantitative Programming skills in Python or R are crucial to this role.
• Knowledgeable of relevant statistical concepts (significance testing, regression/linear models).
• Ability to use behavioral data to target or append afterward to understand self-reports better; Experience working with data scientists and analytic engineers preferred.
• Experience in a culture that utilizes big data and AB testing is a plus

Storytelling/Communication
• Strong storytelling skills with experience turning data into actionable insights and socializing across different departments (from brand strategists and marketers to data scientists to high-level executives)
• A phenomenal communicator with a bias toward action and an excellent collaborator, able to build strong relationships within your team and with multiple teams across the company

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $110,000 - $440,000.
