The Role

At Netflix, we aspire to entertain the world and are constantly innovating on how entertainment is imagined, created, and delivered to a global audience. We currently stream content in more than 30 languages in 190 countries, topping over 220 million paid members.

We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choice in how they consume their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point, while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach audiences that are deeply immersed.

To help us deliver this compelling experience, we're looking for a highly ambitious, visionary, and experienced Senior Product Designer who will help shape Netflix's ads consumer experiences for our users. This includes crafting innovative ad formats tailored to our wide variety of content and experiences, innovating within our existing ad canvases, and creating the future of advertising on Netflix.

This will be a remote-friendly role, with the freedom to set a flexible work-from-home schedule. This role would be best for candidates located in California or in the Pacific time zone, as monthly in-person travel will be required to collaborate with stakeholders and partners in Los Angeles, CA and Los Gatos, CA.

About Our Team

These experiences span our entire product and empower our advertisers and sponsors to reach our members while maintaining the highest bar for the overall experience. • Establish principles to ensure a best-in-class advertising experience for our members across multiple content types.
• Craft design briefs that provide business, design, and engineering clarity for critical initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, content designers, data scientists, and business teams to develop and iterate upon new concepts and facilitate product execution

• 8+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience) in the consumer product space, leading high-impact initiatives from concept to execution.
• Rich portfolio that showcases proven experience at the intersection of advertising, TV, and/or streaming, specifically case studies that demonstrate expertise and leadership at this intersection.
• A passionate energy for great design and amplifying our team culture.
• Demonstrated expertise with consumer product experiences that incorporate advertising.
• Strong understanding of advertising best practices and industry trends for ads on TV and web.
• Work that highlights the balance between empathy for users and understanding advertiser needs

• Experience constructing end-product quality prototypes of consumer experiences that leverage video and motion.
• Excellent communication skills that excite stakeholders and articulate a vision.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail (e.g writing documentation to support your design decisions).
• Experience in video production and editing tools.
• Experience in web advertising and/or marketing design.
• Experience in live TV broadcasting and/or TV advertising.
• Experience working directly with advertisers to deliver their vision.
