The Team

The Privacy Assurance & Engineering team promotes privacy-enhancing designs, sets engineering standards and builds systems to ensure Netflix is managing data correctly. The Role

We are looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer to join us as a technical lead for exciting privacy engineering topics across Netflix! In this role you will provide engineering and product teams guidance by analyzing systems, defining technical requirements, and designing privacy and data management solutions. You will also bridge the gap between engineering and legal by leveraging both your technical and privacy domain expertise. In this role, you will primarily support new feature and business development for Netflix, while working alongside an industry leading security and privacy team with many opportunities to improve existing initiatives and identify new ones.

Desired background:
• You are passionate about privacy and have experience in cryptography and privacy enhancing technologies.
• You have a security mindset, possibly from conducting application security reviews or privacy red teaming.
• You have extensive software engineering and design experience, optimally spanning over both microservices architectures and big data environments.
• You operate effectively across teams and disciplines in highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• You enjoy both hands-on technical challenges as well as strategic leadership and influencing change at scale.
